Term 2 Week 2

Term two of school  has finally started and it is all ready week two! Time has gone by so fast.  It may have been two weeks but to me it only felt like a few days. Anyway I'm going to talk about most of the big events that have happened during the two weeks school has started.  The first event is the start of Term two.  I was really excited about Term two starting because I was so bored during the holidays.  I was just sitting around waiting for school to start so once school started I nearly cried in happiness.  During the day we really didn't do anything interesting.  The next interesting topic I will be talking about is the councilor meeting.  During the meeting we were just talking about what our roles would be during the whole school assembly.  The meeting was during Week two of Term two on Wednesday the tenth of May two-thousand and seventeen.  The next interesting event was the trip to the Buddhist Temple.  I wasn't their that day because I had a doctors appointment.   Okay that is all of the interesting events that happened during the two weeks of school or the events that I can remember anyways bye.   

Bridge to Terrabithia Chapter Sequence and Summaries

My Reflection

In this activity we were learning to sequence chapters in books and summaries the main events that happened in the chapters.  I found this activity fun and a bit hard.  The fun bit was because the activity made you trigger your memory so you were able to remember what happened in the chapters.  The hard bit was because you had to find the main events in the chapters and write them down in your own words.

Making connections

WAl to Make Connections between the real world and a text 

Room 20 has been reading the book bridge to Terabithia In the story. It was raining really hard and the whole creek was swollen and flooded.  Yesterday It was pouring here as well so we decided to do some authentic learning.  We made some rain coats out of plastic bags and walked down to see the creek behind the school! We could see the water flowing fast and the plants that were flattened.  I thought that the creek was rushing insanely fast.  So I could see why Jessie was scared to swing across the creek because of how fast and strong the current was.

Writing a Balanced Argument

My Reflection 

In this activity we were learning to write a balanced argument.  I found this activity easy because I love writing especially when it is descriptive writing.  There is not much I can reflect about this activity so I'll just write what I can. In this activity you had to write a balanced argument about if bullying is good or bad.

Bike skills

My Reflection

Something that I enjoyed at bike skills was the encouragement everyone gave each other while you were riding the bike.  No one was sad at all even if you failed at first everyone gave you encouragement to try again.  There was such a happy atmosphere around everyone and there wasn't anyone frowning.

What I found hard was actually learning how to ride the bike because it was my first time ever being on a bike.  Well I have been on a bike but it was my first time learning how to ride the bike.  It was so irritating when the pedals were scraping your ankles when you were moving.  The seat was also uncomfortable.

Something that I have never done before was riding a bike.   I felt so uncomfortable trying to ride the bike.  I really didn't like it at first because of how uncomfortable it was.  After the session I was actually happy about trying to ride the bike instead of giving up straight away.

Bridge To Terabithia-Prediction

 My Reflection

In this activity we were comparing two of the covers to Bridge To Terabithia. Then see what were the same on both covers. We then wrote the key words from the title of the book. After writing the key words we had to read the blurb of the book. Then write down the key words that we found from the blurb. Then Using the information we had gathered we had to write down our prediction of what we think might happen in the story.
